Becoming California nominated for EMMY Awards
Last week the San Francisco/Northern California Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced nominees for the 44th Annual Northern California Emmy Awards.
I’m excited announce that the California Environmental Legacy Project’s 2-hour public television program Becoming California was nominated for four EMMY Awards, including Best Documentary Program! It also received nominations in the categories of writing, photography and editing!
The EMMY award is presented for outstanding achievement in television by The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS).
In the Documentary category, Becoming California was nominated for Best Cultural/Historical Documentary. Kit Tyler, Producer and Director, together with Executive Producers Jim Baxter and Jeffrey White, Associate Producers Richard Tsai and Richard York, and Ron Chapple, aerial photographer, are named on the nomination.
Kit Tyler and Richard York were nominated for Best Writing. Kit was also nominated for Best Photography and Editing.
The awards will be announced on June 6, 2015 at the 44th Annual EMMY Awards Gala in San Francisco.
