General Ecology

General Ecology (Bio 160) is an upper division core course that provides students with an understanding of the fundamental processes that influence the distribution and abundance of organisms, the interactions among organisms, and the role of organisms in the flux of energy and cycling of matter. Because virtually all ecological systems are affected by humans, this course also highlights human interactions with the environment as a context for understanding ecological principles. In addition to focusing on the subject of ecology, this course will emphasize scientific thinking and problem solving.  No matter what your area of study, an understanding of ecology will make you better biologists and more informed citizens.

This site is by far one of the best I have seen. Nice, simple, clean, and modern. Also Dr. Baxter I think you should make an Instagram! It’d be a nice way to upload all the awesome pictures!

It looks great. Since the old website was still running for a bit, I was still using it until last week. But looking at it today, it is fantastic. Much more organized! And eye-catching as well!

I really like the format of this new website compared to the other website. I feel the words and paragraph structure are more spaced out and easier to read, especially when reading about Biology 160.
